Our Lives This Week
In Asti’s Life…
This past week in one word: exhausting! I actually worked the full forty hours which meant my time for all the other things sort of disappeared. (Not that I mind though, getting paid is never a bad thing and I’ll definitely enjoy my next paycheck between the hours and the holiday pay!) The hours aren’t the reason why this week was exhausting though – it was the work I did during those hours! Things were a bit hectic in the store with some last minute changes and big moves needing to be done, and I spent a couple of days busting my butt off trying to make things work. Luckily this next week is a fairly mellow one for me. I’m actually only working like twenty hours and will have a couple days off (including my first Saturday since I got hired!) so am looking forward to relaxing and getting some things done.
I am somewhat excited for Monday to come so I can do my official weekly weigh in. If I weigh the same as I did earlier when checking my weight, I’ll have finally reached my first goal of losing thirty pounds! As much as I don’t put a huge emphasis on numbers (like if I stay the same weight from one week to the next, I don’t find it discourages me or anything), there is just something super exciting about having something measurable to monitor your progress with. Even if my weight fluctuates and I’m still not at my full thirty when I weigh myself Monday, I have to say I’m pretty damn proud of myself. I’m finally cooking meals and taking care of myself (though I need to make the gym more of a regular thing), and it just feels good. *pats self on back*
And I guess that’s it! Hope you’ve had a good week, and have done at least one thing to make yourself proud. <3
In Kelley’s Life…
Oh my god, you guys, my husband is coming home in EIGHT DAYS!!! I am so, so, so excited. And I’ve been super busy trying to pack as much as possible, schedule the movers, make sure our new apartment will have electricity, internet, etc. when we move in (in two weeks!), and trying to spend time with friends and family before I move away. It’s been a blur — and I even finished a couple books in the past week!
I’ve gotten a few packages in the mail this week, which is always awesome (and I don’t even know how many will show up for me at my office once I move — argh!). The cat has been enjoying herself with all of the empty boxes piling up around the house, and somehow I’ve even found time to join in on my good friend’s tarot challenge on instagram this month! Yay for keeping busy in a positive way. I hope you all had a great week, too!
