Bookish Finds is my collection of posts in which I share and discuss book-related art I find online. It can be photographs, sculptures, illustrations, clothes – anything that showcases books for their physical beauty and amazing experiences.
Joel Robison’s Bookish Photography
You have my lovely co-blogger Kelley to thank for this latest Bookish Find. She sent me a link to Joel Robison’s Flickr account a while back and I was taken right away with his beautiful images. While he has tons of fanciful images for one to drool over (1356 images as of right now), my favorite photos (of course) have to be the ones from his Chapters album: 62 photographs of books that help highlight the beauty of reading. They are imaginative, fun, and really just make me want to pick up a book the second I look at them!
Below are just a few of my favorite bookish photographs of his that are featured on the Joel Robison Facebook page.
Aren’t they just beautiful? I feel like they truly highlight the magical qualities of books and how they can transport you and open your mind… and how sometimes nothing can be better than just being surrounded by books!
If you want to look at more of Joel Robison’s amazing work, you can see his photographs on his website, Instagram, Facebook, or Flickr accounts. You can also buy one of his prints at his Etsy shop. He’s also just started a YouTube channel where he’ll be posting video tutorials and whatnot. And you can also stalk him on Twitter!
But, if you don’t do any of the above, you should at least do this one thing – check out his No Muggles Allowed album with Harry Potter inspired photos. I mean, c’mon, it’s photographs inspired by Harry Potter. How can you not want to check them out?
What do you think of Joel Robison’s Photography? Have any favorites? Do you like this Bookish Find more than my others since no books were harmed in the making?
